The Oral History of Our 12 Step Legacy

In 2019, I was invited to lead an OA weekend workshop on the AA Big Book. On the first night, I shared the oral history of AA, as it was passed down to me, and how it lead to the creation of Overeaters Anonymous. I also expand on the distinction between OA as a 12 Step program for food addiction/compulsive overeating and other "weigh and pay" weight loss programs.

Corrective Healing Experience / Power of the Fellowship

This is me waxing philosophical about the power of the fellowship and why you need to create your own God Squads and intimate connections with your fellows. 

To clarify names, Julie P is my sponsor. Vikki A was my previous sponsor. Betty Mae and Pop are my best friend's parents, who took me under their wings. Selah is my therapist who didn't charge me while I was unemployed for almost 3 years.

Introductory Podcast - My Story

On August 24, 2019, I was invited to speak at an Al-Anon & Adult Children of Alcoholics event. For the first time, I recorded myself, so I could share with my friends and sponsees. Thus, the podcast was born.
