I am a former devotee of the Queen of Control and step one is admitting I have no control. So, if I've fallen head first into a loaf of bread, my disease brain's reflexive move is to come up with a PLAN--a plan to regain control. Not good. I need an immediate antidote and since 2009, I found one. Chani from the Los Angeles OA website really understands the shape of my disease. I merged all three of her talks from 2009, 2016, and 2017 into one audio file. Enjoy!

Tradition 12 of Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) states, "Anonymity is the spiritual foundation of all our traditions, ever reminding us to place principles before personalities."

The original tradition study speaker workshop was no longer available, so we listened to Peggy M's talk on Tradition 12, which we all enjoyed.

My “Light Into Dark Places” series is to pay tribute to the speakers who carried light into my very dark years. Many don't resonate with me today, but that is not the case here. I absolutely love Blanche. She was part of the first generation of Al-Anon members and, in her words, "we were the blind leading the blind".

Blanche was not officially Fr Tom's Al-Anon sponsor in title, but she was in practice. If you're ever listening to a Fr Tom Al-Anon workshop, you're listening to her legacy.
