Bob is like the men in my family—stoic, old-school, very John Wayne. When I was with my dad, I felt safe from everyone but him. Listening to Bob would not only calm my nervous system but also give me hope for the healing power of 12 Step.

Conversation with Sabrina - Disassociation & Victim Identity

I'm very proud of Sabrina and I for this exploratory conversation. We talked about what is disassociation, what isn't, and where she and I fall on that scale. We then talked about being overly invested in our victim identity and how to shift out of that. We really enjoyed unpacking this topic and I'm proud of us both for how far we have traveled along our recovery roads.
